Spiritual intelligence is the one form of intelligence, which is unique to humans.
IQ enables us to think in a serial logical way; EQ helps us to harness the power of
our emotions to help us think in an associative way. SQ enables us to unify both these
kinds of thinking and become aware of the sense or nonsense behind them. As such,
it is the force behind our drive to develop our own and the world's potential.
Without it we are doomed to act on instinct or pre-programmed responses. We will simply
do what we do again, and again without asking 'Why?', or 'How can this be done better?'
SQ is also the force which underpins our personal integrity and gives our lives a sense of purpose.
This means that spiritual strength is not only a pre-requisite for achieving a balanced and fufilling
personal life.It is also essential we are truly committed to developing organisations and communities
which operate ethically and humanely.
A life of constant pressure undoubtably threatens SQ. It often leaves us little time to think reflectively and creatively.
